Love Paralysis

Our idea of love is always extravagant that we always fail to do what matters most.

I have learned the word PARALYSIS BY ANALYSIS. It is a condition wherein you keep on analyzing things - what to do, how to do it and etc. That you end up doing nothing at all instead.

So, I formulated the word, with all humility, LOVE PARALYSIS. Our idea of love is always extravagant that we always fail to do what matters most. We always think that love should always be expressed with fireworks, big surprises, loud bands and whatnot (depends on how you creative you become). We fail to see that love can still be felt even on little things.

In this, we remember Jesus. Jesus did not die and raise himself every day in order for him to show how great the love of the Father is for us, and how great is his love for us. It would have been absurd, though he can. Jesus, after all, is the Son of God. Yet, he choose to lay low. He choose to keep it a secret. He choose to do the little things when in fact he can do greater.

Jesus choose to love simply. He loved us through listening. He listened to the cries and pleas of many strangers. He loves u through sharing. He went to far and various places to share the words of his Father especially to those who needs it. I couldn't imagine what Jesus has gone through. He might have crossed few desserts and strange lands just to get there. He loved us through giving time. Jesus gave his time to those people who seek for him even when he, himself, haven't find time to rest.

Jesus taught us that love is about simplicity. It is not about the great things you do but what is in your heart that counts. Small gifts can be wrapped with great amount of love. That is why we don't need to do extraordinary things for strangers, whom we are called to love as well, and for those who are dear to our hearts. Simple smile, a little of your time, ears to listen, and a heart willing to do all of these. Love need not to be big. It can be simple yet extraordinary.
