BATTLE IT OUT

I was watching Battle Los Angeles today and it blew me away.
Want to know why?

The Marines remind me of US. They were send in a war and they were given the command to drive out alien invaders and save the civilians. Many died and some were injured. But it's their bravery and courage to follow orders even the odds of surviving is zero that inspired me.

We, as Christians, are encouraged to do the same thing. TOTAL OBEDIENCE to the Master even though we don't know for sure what would happen to us. We are called to be Marines for God. We are challenged to obey in full.

Why would God do that? Why would God want us to OBEY Him totally?
It's simple. BECAUSE HE WILL PROVIDE. Just like the soldiers they are given armament and armors to defend themselves in the war. They are provided with
reinforcement and rescue choppers when they asked for one.

Our God is no different. HE WILL PROVIDE (And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19). It is a matter of just trusting Him.

What is the COMMAND?
First - Love the LORD our GOD with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind and with all our strength. Mark 12:30

Second - Love your neighbor as yourself. Mark 12:31

We are called to obey these commandment which sums up all the Ten Commandments.

What is our MISSION?
Just like in the movie, they were send out behind enemy lines, save the civilians and take them back to safety.

After we knew God, we just don't keep the relationship to ourselves. We are saved by God's grace and He doesn't want us to keep it for ourselves. The second commandment tells us to love others. Therefore, we are to share this new found relationship with God to others. Share the same salvation we experienced with GOD.

I know! I know! It is hard. But the Lord wants us to TRUST and OBEY Him completely. Remember, the Lord will provide even more than the things we actually want and desire. Also, don't forget that just because you win one battle or lose some doesn't mean we are done. We are done when the Commander says we are done.

God bless!
